CLASSIC 11

Rode is a relatively new name in the world of microphone technology - but already it has come to stand for contemporary interpretations of classic mic styles. Designed and manufactured in Australia, the Classic Valve mic is engineered for use as a main vocal or general purpose mic where quality is at a premium.

The Classic Valve is based around a large diaphragm capsule, embodying the same inherent characteristics as classic European studio mic designs. All wiring and soldering is to the highest standards, and all internal connectors are gold plated for reliability and longevity.

The amp stage of the Classic is based around the vintage 6072 twin-triode valve, a special selection of the more commonly available 12AY7 chosen for its suitability for audio processing applications. The result is a warm sound with a rich bottom end, ideal for complementing digital recording systems, with the honesty and accuracy required by a primary studio mic.

Especially recommended for vocals and acoustic guitars
