DPA
One of the nicest mics we've ever used is the DPA 4011. This is truly an all rounder. On acoustic instruments such as violin, guitar and general overheads, these pick up the natural sound of the instruments without colouration. They are also extremely quiet.
The 4011 is a condenser microphone with a linear frequency response
from 40Hz to 20kHz (±2dB), totally flat off-axis qualities, so any leakage that occurs from off-axis sound sources is still a faithful reproduction of these sounds, though attenuated according to the true first order cardioid pick-up pattern.
Type 4011 is phantom powered (P48), transformerless and has an extremely high SPL
handling capability of 158dB SPL peak before clipping occurs.
DPA 4006 Omni
Omnidirectional condenser microphone with an extremely linear frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, high sensitivity and a low noise-floor.
DPA 4060
This kit is designed to use as a close miking solution for a wide variety of musical instruments. The 4060 microphone offers a very clean, detailed and natural sound quality, leaving placement up to the user, in order to receive the desired timbre for studio use or amplification for live use.
Included are holders for strings, universal surface mounts with double sided tape, a magnet mount and foam windscreens. Furthermore, the microphone can be acoustically modified by changing the protections grids. If you want a high frequency lift, change to the high boost grid included.
DPA 4088
DPA 4088 is a miniature cardioid headband, providing the best sounding directional headworn microphone available today for performing talent of various sorts. Open, natural and reliable are the most describing words for this microphone. In acoustically demanding live performance environments, where background noise and feedback is a concern, the 4088 will tackle these challenges with ease.
The smooth and elegant design of the 4088 makes it the most invisible headworn cardioid microphone today.
