The eagerly awaited debut from the Dublin group nearly didn t happen when the label initially due to produce the record crashed in the financial downtown. A band with songs like these were never going to be homeless for too long and within 48 hours had signed a deal with Dublin based independent label 3u Records, home of The Coronas.

With the deal signed, there was no holding back a band that have been together since they met in college. Brilliant up and coming Irish producer Ciaran Bradshaw took the band into Beechpark Studio to produce a fantastic album of brilliant song writing.

Debut single Videotapes was released as a digital only release charting at No: 15 on the iTunes Top 100 and No: 2 on the iTunes Rock chart making the track the highest ranking Irish track that week. The Single also charted at No: 41 in the main Irish charts, an incredible feat for a download only debut single. Despite the initial chart success, it is on stage where The Chapters really come into their own, having sold out their Dublin return at the Academy 2 last month, they now embark on a nationwide tour in support of their debut album.

What the press are saying:

The Chapters find themselves nicely positioned somewhere between Smog & Talking Heads, a rug cutting piece of funk punk 4/5 Kevin Courtney, The Irish Times

The next big thing in 2009 Claire Connellan, Dublin s 98

Sh*t Hot Sinister Pete, Phantom FM

 &.one of the best things to come out of Ireland in years &great songs that set the bar higher then its been in a long time & they have what it takes for the long haul & Niall Stokes, Hotpress

Tickets for The Chapters album launch at Whelan s on Thursday 18 June are on sale now priced ¬13.50 incl. booking fee.

Links

www.myspace.com/thechaptersofficial

www.entertainment.ie/thechapters

Movies at Beechpark Studios !

FILM: THE ECLIPSE

Soundtrack recorded & Mixed at Beechpark Studio.

Music Score by Fionnuala Ní Chiosáin, Engineer: Philip Begley

Winner 2009 Tribeca Film Festival, Best Actor in a Narrative Feature Film: - Category/recipient: Ciaran Hinds {pic}

Produced by Treasure Entertainment for RTE, The Eclipse is based on a supernatural love story by author Billy Roche and was co-adapted by Conor McPherson (The Seafarer.
